Minimum Officer Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or legally eligible to work in the United States
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • No convictions for a felony or domestic violence offense
  • High school diploma or G.E.D.
  • Candidates must pass a physical agility test
  • Good driving, police, and employment record
  • Kentucky EMT Certification required
  • 400 hour Certification required
